people who wear weird masks are very creepy

Ummmm...could this movie look any more scary?? Seriously, even my boy Scott Speedman can't placate my fear.

AND, just like with all scary movies, I want to see it. Like a lot. Knowing I will regret watching it the minute I have to go to sleep. Whateva.

...FINALLY!
So I totally lived up to my Thursday night expectations for what I wanted done by Sunday. Well, for the most part. I'm very proud to say I finally finished reading through and editing In A Handbasket, AS WELL AS Twenty Six Miles. It was actually really great to go back to Twenty Six Miles because I've kinda forgotten about that story and it was pretty cool to relive it and see the style I wrote it in. A total switch up from the rest of my stuff.

Anywho, now I can post the link to my little site thingy and I'm very excited about that. I haven't uploaded any of the other stuff on there, but I shall post a notice when I do [for anyone that cares, haha] Once again, an uber huge thank you to [info]jengrrrl for the space.

And for those who want to bypass the homepage and get right to the story pages:

Also, I apologize ahead of time for the mistakes you'll undoubtedly find. I'm a terrible proofer, and no matter how hard I try or concentrate, the typos always seem to weasel their way in there.

Um...
Did David Archuleta really just sing my all time favorite Billy Joel song?

Sigh. Yes, he did. And he did it pretty wonderfully. I would have dropped the pretty completely if it weren't for all the runs. Honestly kid, sometimes you can just sing the melody, ya know? There's a reason some of these songs are classics.

ETA :: David Cook needs to win. For sure. Even if he kinda bugs me sometimes.

Dear Hillary,

Please, just concede already. Yes, I've never liked you, and I am all about Obama, but really? It's time. Step down, and step up for your party.

That's all. Happy Friday everyone. :)

the world was a mess but his hair was perfect
Things that I want by Sunday...

  1. Have ad for N Times done by tomorrow. This is a must.
  2. Drinks [which will undoubtedly become far too many drinks] Friday night with my ladies. Which makes me want to back out, thinking of the hell of a hangover Saturday morning will grant me but...there is no backing out.
  3. Finish editing [at least] In A Handbasket on my little fanfiction site thingy. It's driving me insane that I can't finish it faster. And hopefully, I'll start in on Twenty Six Miles and get a good chunk up on that too. Crosses fingers, seriously.
  4. Fully learn Banquet by Bloc Party, Spirit in the Night by Bruce Springsteen, and Tell You Something by Alicia Keys on the guitar. I've only got about half or 3/4 of each memorized. This is not good enough.
  5. Icon post. A big one. Which, now that I'm mentioning it here, if anyone reads this and has a request for an icon or a subject to icon, just drop me a line like it were a Snoop Dogg song...or something.

I think this list seems highly reasonable and possible. Totally. I'm so on it like white on rice. And holler back half day tomorrow. I love my job and my boss. Best. Happy Thursday, y'all.

the half way mark of shit idol...i mean...
  • David Cook was meh.
  • Syesha will never get a break.
  • Jason doesn't give a F anymore. I mean, "BOB MARLEY"
  • David Archuleta is the same performance every week with different chords. And Stand By Me? REALLY? Who didn't see that coming? Next he'll sing "lean on me". I despise him.

I miss Carly. Especially after seeing her and Michael Johns bring down the house on ellen this morning*. Also, Randy like wants in David Archuletas pants. [BAD JOKE SARA] But really, I hate you too Randy.

Sigh. Why do I even bother?

ETA: FUCK YOU, RANDY.

*See for yourself...

Top 15 Springsteen Songs
I'm in such a Bruce mood this week, which is totally because it's almost summer and if there's anything that goes with summer, it's the boss. So for [info]suchaprettymess, I've decided to do a little meme of my top 15 Springsteen songs. A lot of people only know him from Glory Days and Hungry Heart and Born in the USA, and like, GAH, that is so not his best stuff. Not even close. I'm much more a 70's Bruce fan [with some newer stuff thrown in here and there] But anywho, I've decided to share my love, in no particular order, for anyone who's interested. Each song title listed is a link to an mp3 download.
